SPRING CONCERT

Saturday, April 17th
 
The Lowrey Music Spring Concert returns this year with a new concert organist, Ms. Lori Graves.  This light and lively concert appeals to listeners of all ages!  Lowrey organ company has the most beautiful sounding and technology advanced organs of their time.
 
The Spring Concert will be held at Lambert's Music Center at 1325 Meridian Street in downtown Anderson.  Lori Graves will perform two concerts: 2:00 pm and 6:30 pm.  The $10 per person tickets are available at Lambert's Music Center or by calling: 641-1200 or 617-5912.
 
The Spring Concert is open to the public and light refreshments will be served after each performance.  This annual event for Bids for Kids is presented by Lambert's Music Center and the Friends for L.I.F.E. club (Lowrey is Fun & Entertaining).
 

“Bids for Kids” Live TV Auction  

Friday, April 23rd (6pm – Midnight)  and   Saturday, April 24th  (10am – Midnight) on Comcast Channel 3 and a “wrap-up” live auction in the auditorium on Sunday, April 25th at 3:00 pm … Everything must go!  The Live TV Auction will take place at Reardon Auditorium on the Anderson University campus.  Bid from the auditorium or from the comfort of your home … help raise funds to prevent child abuse!  Businesses & Individuals may donate items to the auction?  Call Bonny Clark:  (765) 617-5912.  It’s a great way to promote your business … even home-based businesses!  And, it’s tax-deductible!
 

Pennies for Kids

During the Live TV Auction!

 

Children are invited to come onstage during the live TV auction and donate their pennies to the Pennies for Kids drive for child abuse prevention.  Each child will receive a small thank you item for their donation.  Come to the stage area and let us know that you are there to make a donation.

 

Child Safety Fair

Saturday, April 24th

2:00 pm - 5:00 pm

 

The entire family is invited to come to Reardon Auditorium on the Anderson University campus during the live auction on Saturday, April 24th from 2-5pm.  Kids will enjoy a tour of a fire truck and interactive carnival games.  There will be exhibits with safety information for the entire family. And, you can register for grat door prizes and enjoy free food!

Adopt a Teddy Bear

During the televised Bids for Kids auction, teddy bears will be available for adoption.  These teddy bears represent the Indiana children you have the opportunity to protect from abuse and neglect.  The bears are dressed in colorful crocheted children's clothing and wear a special wristband identifying each child.  Viewers can purchase a Teddy Bear during the Live Auction by calling the Hotline at: (765) 641-3737, or come to Reardon Auditorium during Auction hours and adopt their bear from the theatre display.  Adopt a Teddy Bear for only $25.  Proceeds benefit child abuse prevention programs in Madison County.

Pop Cans for Prevention

The Bids for Kids Foundation announces a new fundraising campaign for this year called Pop Cans for Prevention.  Area residents are invited to recycle their aluminum cans at the site of the Bids for Kids TV Auction.
 
Please bring cans, in large plastic bags, to the rear of Reardon Auditorium on the Anderson University campus.  There will be a trailer marked for your aluminum can donations.  Money raised from this event will be placed toward programs of child abuse prevention in Madison County.

Blue Ribbon Challenge – Win a 19” Flat Screen HDTV

Visit any of the locations below and buy a Blue Ribbon for $1.00 or 10/$5.00 and you’ll be entered to win a 19” Flat Screen HDTV!  Proceeds from the sale of the Blue Ribbons will go to the Bids for Kids campaign for child abuse prevention in Madison County. The Contest ends Friday, April 23, 2010, and the winner will be drawn on Tuesday, April 27th

Attorneys Against Abuse

 
Charlie Braddock, local attorney, Exchangite, and advocate for Child Abuse Prevention, has challenged area attorneys to make a donation to the Bids for Kids campaign and help us raise $100,000 this year. 
 
Joining the "Challenge" are attorneys and Exchangites Lisa DeLey and Bryan WIlliams.  Madison County attorneys were mailed out "challenge" cards to include with their donations as we work to support the work of the Exchange Club Family Resource Center for child abuse prevention in Madison County.

Children and adults alike will delight in the more than 100 Easter Baskets displayed at the Mounds Mall on Saturday, March 27th, from 10am - 3pm.  These beautiful gift baskets are assembled by the Friends for L.I.F.E. Club of Lambert's Music Center.  From Easter bunnies and decadent candies to toys, gifts, bicycles, and more, the baskets are suitable for young children and adults, all ready to give.
 
Visit the Mounds Mall on March 27th and purchase raffle tickets from the L.I.F.E. Club (Lowrey Is Fun and Entertaining) and place your tickets in the containers for the baskets you would like to win.  Enjoy the musical entertainment and have fun knowing you are helping bring awareness to child abuse prevention and raising much-needed funds to run the programs of prevention for Madison County.
